PETITION BACKGROUND: The Westside BeltLine trail is a wonderful multi-modal resource that runs right through the heart of Westview but, currently, most of the neighborhood is unable to access it safely. The only access points that do exist require many neighbors to cross through major intersections of dangerous High Injury Network roadways, Cascade Rd and Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. With some of the highest rates of HIN roadway injuries and fatalities, Westview needs safe BeltLine access!

ACTION PETITIONED FOR: We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens and neighbors who urge the leaders of Atlanta BeltLine Inc., City of Atlanta, and GDOT to provide Westview, its neighbors, and its visitors with critical safe access to the BeltLine via an access point at S Gordon St. and Ralph David Abernathy Blvd.
